The Cary Grove Area Chamber of Commerce promotes economic opportunity and an overall healthy economy for businesses in Cary and Fox River Grove.

The Chamber has more than 500 members that  partner to network and provide fellowship and motivation to local businesses.

Recently, the chamber upgraded its' resources and moved to a new building to better serve the community.

The new offices also has a new business resource center for the public and residents are welcome to stop in and get info on local business and community resources

Books, CDs, movies, video games: The Cary Area Public Library has it all. The library provides service to the residents of Cary, Oakwood Hills, Trout Valley, unincorporated Cary, parts of unincorporated Crystal Lake, and Prarie Grove.

The library is public, so anyone can use their facilities and obtain a guest pass to access computers.

The location of the library is great for students, teachers, and faculty that attend or work for Cary-Grove High School and Three Oaks School because they are close neighbors.

Many services are offered at the library such as adult book discussion groups, story-time for toddlers, and other children's programming.

The paved entrance to Candlewood Park is between two homes on Pin Oak Circle. The park, which features playground equipment and benches, is behind Prarie Hill Middle School. The park also has a baseball sand lot and swings.

Cary Oaks Park, nestled in a quiet neighborhood between Haber and Pearson roads, features a large field and a view of a beautiful pond. The park also has a picnic table and is connected to Greenfields Park.

Having been acquired by the city in 1977, Greenfields Park is one of Cary's oldest parks. Today, the site features a playground, which was rennovated in 2008, and lots of full-grown trees for shade. A pond is tucked in the back of this quaint neighborhood park.

Water Tower Prarie Park is a 5.7-acre nature preserve located near the Cary Country Club, between Spring Street and High Road. The park is not marked with signs, but is accessible off of Spring Street. It is covered in native landscaping.

The August Kraus Senior Center provides senior citizens in Cary with health and fitness programs, monthly outings, special events and other programs. The center is named after August Kraus, the mayor of Cary from 1933 to 1945. The facility houses a large banquet room, a computer center and meeting rooms.

The Cary-Grove Food Pantry, a nonprofit organization which provides food to those in need, is staffed entirely by volunteers. The pantry is stocked through food drives and monetary donations. Food donations are acceped during pantry hours, but monetary donations can be mailed to the address at any time. More information about donating and volunteering can be found on the pantry's Web site.

The pantry is open during limited hours, and those needing food are asked not to arrive more than 45 minutes before opening.

SS. Peter & Paul Parish, built in 1871, is located at 410 First St. in Cary and it's on the same property as the convent and the school. The Parish Office is located in the Parish Center, which is the large ranch house opposite the church. The parish model is one which incorporates all facets of parish life, reflecting the needs, gifts and character of the community. Parish groups are made up of parishioners representing ministries with a similar emphasis. They meet to communicate with each other and plan for different aspects of parish life. New Haven Park offers both toddler and regular swings, playground equipment and a large grassy area. The park is covered with colorful flowers and backs up to a spacious wooded area with prairie plantings. It was developed in 2004.

Saints Peter & Paul Catholic School is an elementary school serving children in kindergarten through the 8th grade in Cary, Illinois. It is accredited by the state of Illinois and is a member of the Diocese of Rockford. Founded in 1929, SS. Peter & Paul School is designed to contribute to the total development of the child: spiritually, academically, socially and physically. More than half of the teachers at the school have a masters degree and at least 19 years of experience.
