Founded in 1895, the Dunedin Public Library serves the Pinellas County with a variety of services and programs that educate, entertain and inform people of all age groups. Based in Dunedin, Fla., the library offers a collection of print and nonprint materials, electronic databases, Internet access, reference services, individual study rooms, group study rooms and listening rooms. Its outreach services offer delivery of books selected for individual reading tastes to homebound people. The library also provides an array of programming such as author visits, feature films, live musical performances and dances. It provides lectures on topics, such as current affairs, computer instruction and outdoor adventure, for adult members. Dunedin Public Library is capable of hosting library and community programs as well as teens and youth programs.

Highlander Pool, an outdoor aquatics complex in Highlander Park, offers seasonal swimming lessons and activities.

The pool complex boasts a regular-sized pool with lap lanes and diving boards. It also has a children's training pool, picnic shelters for rent and classes for youths and adults, as well as free swim opportunities.

The Church of the Good Shepard celebrates a traditional Episcopal liturgy, and invites everyone to join for services. The first Episcopal service in Dunedin was conducted in Library Hall by Bishop Weed on December 28, 1886. The church's original chapel erected in 1888-89, and was located closer to the corner of Main Street and Edgewater Drive. The Church was later moved to its present site. It has been renovated and enlarged several times, but the original chapel still forms a part of the overall construction.

The second-largest city park in Dunedin, Highlander Park contains several community resources.

Within the park's 70 acres, you can find the Dunedin Community Center, Dunedin Fine Art Center/Gladys Dougas School for the Arts, Highlander Pool, Dunedin Nature Center, over-the-lake pavilion, tennis courts, picnic tables,  picnic shelters,  sand volleyball court, softball and little league felds.

Located across the street from Curtis Fundamental Elementary School and blocks away from historical downtown Dunedin, Cornerstone Christian Center and School is a non-denominational church and school that teaches preschool through 8th grades.  

It offers scholarships for Kindergarten and has a large playground in the back.  Cornerstone has an indoor gym, offers computer and music instruction, and is qualified in sign language.  The school has VPK, is licensed and is accredited FCPS.

Built in 1888, Andrews Memorial Chapel is a Victorian church and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is located at the entrance of Hammock Park and is open to visitors. It is also available for rent for weddings and private events and is owned and operated by the non-profit Dunedin Historical Society.

It has a 10,000-sq. foot skate park, computer room, teenager room, playground, basketball court, gym and rooms that can be rented for events. Caladesi Island State Park boasts one of Pinellas County's pristine beaches. Visitors can swim, snorkel, go shelling and even picnic on the island. The only way to go there is by the Caladesi Island Adventure Ferry, which departs from Honeymoon Island State Park. It takes 30 minutes on the ferry to get there, and visitors can stay on the island four hours at a time. It has beach chairs and umbrellas, restrooms, concession stands, shaded pavilion, boardwalks and three-mile hiking trail.
