Newport Center United Methodist is a church family for people of all ages, with the intention to connect people with God and with each other. The church is located just north of San Joaquin Road, directly across from the Bayview Apartments. Along with Sunday services, the church also offers children's and youth ministries.
Corona del Mar State Beach, often referred to as "Big Corona Beach," is an attraction to visitors and locals alike. During the week, community members flock to the beach to take leisurely strolls, jump in the water for a swim, play volleyball, have picnics, sunbathe and enjoy the views. The Channel Reef Community Association manages the Channel Reef oceanfront homes located at the western end of Corona del Mar. This gated community features 47 homes and condos with ocean views and terrace-style architecture. The association provides many amenities here, including barbecue areas, private pools and jacuzzis. Channel Reef community also has a deep-water marina with docks for boats up to 48 feet.
The community is adjacent to Balboa Island and close to local shops and Fashion Island. The Channel Reef Community Association operates in-house to better serve its residents' needs.
The newly renovated Oasis Senior Center was designed to help senior citizens lead independent, healthy and active lives. The 36,500-square foot facility offers dozens of educational classes, recreational activities, programs, an outdoor courtyard, community garden plots and social services to the senior community of Corona del Mar. The senior center is operated by the City of Newport Beach and is supported with financial assistance and dedicated volunteers by the non-profit organization Friends of Oasis. Transportation to the Oasis Senior Center is available to seniors who meet certain eligibility requirements.
The Corona del Mar branch of the Newport Beach public library system has served as an educational tool for the children and community of Corona del Mar since 1959. The library is the smallest of the Newport Beach branches, but it has garnered much support from community members and is a popular spot for younger families. The library has six computer workstations, laptop computers and free Wi-Fi. It also houses a large collection of popular new materials, including books, DVDs, children's materials and periodicals.

Grant Howald Park is a place in town frequented at nights and on the weekends by community members participating in sporting events and athletic activities. During the day, people go to Grand Howald Park to take a jog and walk their dogs. The park's amenities include a community center, multi-use field, basketball court, playground, picnic tables, water fountains, restrooms and tennis courts. Group reservations are required within five days of the event and bounce houses are allowed with a permit. Alcohol and loud music are not allowed at the park.
