The Clement Manor Center for Enrichment and Lifelong Learning features programs and classes for adults 55 and older throughout the year. Some classes are designed to keep adults active and healthy while others are meant to challenge the brain. The center also offers a free book club from noon to 1 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month.
Established in 1995, the Pass It On Club is a social gathering place in which recovering individuals and their families can attend 12-step meetings. Open seven days a week, the club hosts Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, Alateen, Cocaine Anonymous and Nicotine Anonymous meetings. Monthly or yearly memberships are available, but you don't need to be a member to attend the meetings. Club members receive discounts on event tickets, voting rights and discounts at the club's counter.
Hart Park Senior Center is located in the Muellner Building in Hart Park. A cooperative venture, the City of Wauwatosa provides the space, the programming is administered by the West Suburban YMCA and a daily lunch is sponsored by the Milwaukee County Department on Aging. An abundance of exercise, art, reading and wellness programs help keep minds and bodies sharp.
The Town Club is a private club in Fox Point, on the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Bradley Road. It offers daily lunch and dinner specials.
Good Hope School is part of the Glendale-River Hills School District and among many other educational community services, houses the school district office. Good Hope also feeds into Nicolet High School.
The Northwest Interfaith center, attached to St. Margaret Mary Church on 92nd Street, offers community programs ranging from employment services and older adult programs to neighborhood outreach and more. The center is always looking for assistance with programs and for people to spread the word about the center to the community.
