Providing a much needed service to the Renton community, Vision House offers housing and care for single homeless mothers and their children, as well as housing for single homeless men. This facility helps keep children safe and protected while allowing parents to seek the assistance necessary for restoring stability. Vision House is a community organization which serves as a stepping stone for families.
Renton Senior Activity Center provides health services, as well as recreational and social activities to seniors aged 50 years old and above, free of charge. The facility strives to provide seniors with increased socialization, fun daily activities and friendship and features a welcoming and homey atmosphere. It is not a personal or medical care center and seniors who attend are independent. The staff is made up of local volunteers and welcomes those interested in volunteering here and among senior citizens in the community.
The center's space is available for rent and includes a banquet room, views, a fountain, an outdoor patio, hardwood floors and a stage. Rentals are offered on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Renton Community Center is centrally located and shares a large parking lot with the Henry Moses Aquatic Center and Carco Theatre. In addition to a variety of classes for both children and adults, the center features a 2,200 square-foot gym with cardio and strength equipment. In addition the the gym, the Center offers basketball, volleyball, racquetball and wallyball, among other sports activities.
