The Wilkins School Community Center serves the neighborhood by offering regular arts, fitness and craft classes, along with community gatherings and events. The center recently added an art gallery that displays the work of local artisans. West African dance, turbo kick and clay workshops are a few of the choices people have when deciding to get involved at WSCC.
Led by pastor Thomas J. Burke, Good Shepherd has a large congregation at two different sites: Sacred Heart Church and Good Shepherd Church. They have a number of different organizations including the Women's Guild, Senior Citizens Club and Rosary Society. The church also has classes to prepare adults for baptisms, weddings and funerals.

Pressley Ridge is a non-profit providing help for troubled and developmentally challenged children. It was founded in 1832 and serves seven states, as well as overseas. The programs they offer are foster care, residential services, community based services and educational services.
The Brookline Recreation Center and Memorial Park plays a key role in keeping Brookline's residents in shape and offers a community meeting space. The pool has been closed since 2003, but there's still plenty to do: inside and outside basketball courts, ball fields, a soccer field. Yoga, boxing and Pilates are also offered.
