The C&O Canal Great Falls Tavern is an historic site and visitors' center located on MacArthur Boulevard in Potomac. It offers various types of educational and interpretive programs throughout the year, as well as boat rides in the spring, summer and early fall. These include mule drawn canal boat rides, public canal boat rides and private boat rides.
The Potomac Community Center has offered involvement for families in Montgomery County for more than 30 years in its current facility. Under the leadership of Emily McDonell, the Community Center offers events and activities for children in Potomac. The center has a fitness room, game room, basketball courts, baseball fields and tennis courts.
As part of the Montgomery County Recreation Centers, The Scotland Community Center serves a diverse group of children from the Potomac area. The facility, a fixture since the early 1970s, offers services to families who live in the Scotland area and is available for private rental.
Potomac Glen Community Center, with its pool, playground and tennis and basketball courts, is available for members of the Potomac Glen Community Association. Membership also includes access to the center's building for social activities and a fully equipped gym.
The community also has a pond and walking path throughout the neighborhood.
The center can be rented for social and nonprofit activities by an association member. PGC is a mix residential community of free-standing houses and town homes. The on-site management company is Comsource.
