Longfellow Park underwent an extensive renovation in 2008, the results of which have produced a public space packed with attractions.

The revamped park features lighted tennis courts, a full court basketball court, a ball diamond, a large playground suitable for kids of all ages and a splash pad fountain.

Special water wheelchairs are available for rental from the district.

Longfellow Center, which houses martial arts classes, early childhood programs and a wealth of other activities, can be rented in both the day and evening hours.

Carroll Park, located in the southwest corner of the village, includes a large green field, tot lot, ball diamond and playground that was renovated to include new equipment in 2007.

The nearby Carroll Center hosts all kinds of park district programs, including youth sports, adult fitness, yoga, Tai Chi and Mi Escuela, the Spanish-speaking preschool.

The center is available for rental for all kinds of events.

Situated on 1.3 acres at the east end of Oak Park, the Andersen Center and adjacent Andersen Park offer locals a wealth of recreational options. The park was renovated in 2006 and reopened with the addition of the popular splash pad, which features a water-spouting tower and jets that shoot streams of water up from the ground. Other recent park additions include new playground equipment and a small athletic field.
