Alif Institute is an Arab American non-profit educational and cultural enrichment center. The mission of the institute is to foster the understanding and appreciation of Arab culture in the community. The organization has a wide range of enrichment programs as well as classes and workshops, including programs that focus on Arab culture as well as a bridge between Arabic and American art. Some classes include knitting and stitching clubs, Oud classes as well as Arabic language classes for children and adults. The  institute also hosts the annual Atlanta Arab Festival. Emory's Dobbs University Center (DUC) is the main student center located in the heart of the University Campus. The DUC houses Emory's main student dining hall, an Einstein's Bros. coffee shop, the school post office and a lounge space with wireless Internet. The Adamsville Recreation Center and Natatorium is the largest indoor public community center in the Cascade area. The center includes a large community auditorium, two conference rooms, two kitchens and a computer lab, multipurpose room, arts and crafts room, weight room, fitness room, dance studio, game room, gymnasium, locker rooms and a natatorium with Olympic-size and therapy pools. The center is managed by the city's Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs. Decatur Recreation Center is a community facility for rent and used by after-school programs by the City Schools of Decatur. In the summer, it's a place for camp. The "Decatur Rec" center, as it is often called, is adjacent to the Decatur Library, which shares its free lot for parking. Scott Park sits behind Decatur Rec.
