The Robert L. Taylor Community Complex is conveniently located near US Highway 301. The 44,000-square-foot, state-of-the art complex features a gymnasium, weight room, basketball and tennis courts, little League baseball and softball fields, a game room, computer lab, three multi-purpose meeting rooms, a kitchen,and swmming pool. Community events and educational activities are regularly held at the center and various membership packages are available.

The Sarasota Bradenton International Convention Center is the place for trade shows, conventions, consumer shows and expos, concerts and social events. Able to accomodate up to 5,000 people in 90,000 square feet of expo space, it also boasts a 3,000 square foot kitchen and 750 parking spaces. Right next to the SRQ Airport, it is conveniently located close to fine dining, cultural centers and of course, the beautiful white sand beaches of Siesta Key. Stay at the Holiday Inn adjacent to the center or book another fine hotel while you spend your time rubbing elbows with people in the business of networking.
The In-Between Bridge Club is a large card room where people come to play bridge. Players are serious with a high-level of experience and skill at the game of bridge. Dozens of card tables draped in red tablecloths welcome bridge players who must make reservations in advance to play. The bridge schedule includes stratified open games, Swiss teams, novice-intermediate games, 0-200 and 0-500 games. Supervised play games and lessons are offered as well. In the rear of the room is a small concession area serving coffee and refreshments. It is located deep within the Town and Country shopping plaza in a hidden interior mall between Sweet Bay and KMart.
Payne Park Auditorium is a city-owned facility. It is available to rent for a variety of uses. The building features a 3,000-square-foot hardwood floor and a concert stage. It can be used for concerts, plays, meetings and other events.
VFW post 3233 is located in central Sarasota across from the Sarasota County Fair Grounds and Robarts Arena. The facility is also available for community events and meetings.
Serving primarily African-Americans and Hispanics, the non-profit organization Second Chance Last Opportunity provides life management skills and enrichment through theater workshops, field trips, youth mentoring, graduation ceremonies and baking contests while helping to assist people with anger and money management, HIV programs, surviving domestic abuse and much more. It offers teen services, a SPOONS food pantry, clothing distribution and counseling services.
Shriners International is a fraternity based on fellowship and the Masonic principles of brotherly love, relief and truth. The fraternity is open to men of integrity from all walks of life and the local branch was chartered in 1982. The Sahib Shriners offer a member business directory, which is comprised of attorneys, accountants, photographers, contractors, home improvement companies, insurance providers and financial services. The group has a restaurant open for the public and also offers a facility that is available for rent for all types of occasions, including meetings, conventions, private groups and social organizations. The facility is comprised of a grand ballroom with room for more than 400 guests and a main hall that can be used for parties, weddings, anniversaries and class reunions. Banquet services include a full service bar, a full kitchen, a buffet, cocktail services and fine dining meal options.
