The Ellington Youth Services Department is a division of the town's Human Services Department. It strives to provide programs and services that help kids build positive relationships and bond with their families, schools, peers and community. Children from birth through 18 years of age are supported by the department. There are many ongoing programs throughout the school district. The department also oversees the Drug Abuse Prevention Council and its subgroups Parent Connection and Rise Above.
The goal of the Ellington Senior Center is to provide a gathering place for residents over the age of 60 where they can socialize and participate in programs and services. The center offers many different programs that the residents can participate in, including cards and games, informational programs, and exercise and musical programs. The goal of the many programs is to enhance the lives of the individuals who are participating.
