The Salvation Army South End Corps is the neighborhood's largest Salvation Army location, offering an after-school program, worship services and educational and recreational programs for youths and adults. The Washington Street building also houses the Family Services Bureau, which coordinates emergency assistance for individuals and families in need. A computer center and a gymnasium are onsite as well.
Blackstone Community Center offers a wide range of programs for youth, children, teens and families. It offers fitness programs, sports activities, summer programs, swimming, performing arts as well as adult education. It also offers after-school programs.
