Silverado Park is a local place for recreation and athletics. The park features a baseball field, community center, gym, picnic grounds, playground, swimming pool, tennis courts, restrooms, child care and youth recreation, teen and senior centers, volleyball grounds and more. The sports field lighting was added in 1996 with funding from the Los Angeles County Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond Act of 1992; the lighted baseball field completed renovations in 2000 with funding from Darren Erstad through Angels Care and was thenceforth christened the Darren Erstad Field.
Bixby Park is an 17-acre urban park. It provides a playground, mobile skate park, band shell/stage, community center, picnic area and barbecue pits, volleyball court and teen center with youth recreation programs.
