The Middlebrigde School is a co-ed, private institution for students ages 13 to 19 with learning differences. Located on Wordens Pond Road, the school teaches both day and residential students from September to June. SEVT accredited, Middlebridge accepts international students.
The University of Rhode Island Memorial Student Union offers students in the URI community an environment featuring a variety of cultural, recreational, social programs and activities. It contains several dining options. The offices for many student organizations and campus departments, an information desk and several businesses and services, such as the URI bookstore, a campus box office, a Rhode Island Credit Union, a hair salon, an optometrist and more are in the student union. It was opened in 1954, and is staffed in large part by student workers.
St. Philomena School is a private, Catholic elementary school located on Cory's Lane in Portsmouth.
The school provides an education for students in grades prekindergarten to grade eight. The students hail from 17 cities and towns in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.
It was founded in 1953 by the Society, Sisters Faithful Companions of Jesus. The campus is located near picturesque Narragansett Bay.
