The Dance Studio of Park Slope has been in business for 35 years. Over the years it's developed programs for children as young as 18 months old to classes in advanced ballet for adults. New student discounts, class sampling and special "buy a bunch" rates are offered to make it affordable to as many as possible. The school is open year-round with a late summer break in the action. St. Joseph's was founded as a liberal arts college for women at the turn of the 20th century. In 1970, the school began admitting male students and soon established another campus in Suffolk County. The Brooklyn campus has a student body of roughly 1,500, and the college offers more than 20 undergraduate majors.
