CHANGE is a private, nonprofit organization that has provided services to people with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities since 1969. The organization supports and serves more than 160 people through three major programs: day habilitation services, including assistance with activities of daily living, elementary communication and mobility skills and personal care in a small group environment; vocational services, consisting of supported employment and sheltered workshop environments that give participants an opportunity to learn valuable skills and earn a paycheck; and support services, which are for children and adults, and their families, to help them maintain their independence in the community.
