Established in 1982, The MLW Developmental Evaluation Center provides assessment, consultation and referral services for children with developmental disabilities and autism-related disorders. It is comprised of physicians, psychologists, physical therapists, nurses, and speech and language pathologists. Located in Syracuse, N.Y., the center offers a range of diagnostic assessment, screening, intervention and consultation services. The MLW Developmental Evaluation Center is funded by the New York State Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (OMRDD) and the University Hospital. The center is operated by the SUNY Upstate Medical University, which provides various education, biomedical research, health care and outreach services. The SUNY Upstate Medical University administers a variety of residency, research development, clinical and senior citizen programs.
