YMCA focuses on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. In addition to the programs, the facility has a swimming pool, an activity pool and a fitness center, which features treadmills, free weights, step mill, ellipticals and more. Monthly and annual memberships are available for purchase, as well as day passes.
The Masonic Lodge of Oceanside is lodge number 381 and is located along Eucalyptus Street near downtown. Meetings are held Monday at 7pm; the lodge being used for other various activities throughout the week. The Masonic Lodge is the home of the freemasons, a private organization, and operates under master William VanDerveer Nichols. It is a gathering of men to discuss business, politics and other happenings on a local and global level. The Masons make charitable donations and do community service. There is free parking in the attached lot or along the street.
Moose Lodge is located along South Coast Hwy and is part of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodges. The family fraternity is international and has more than 1.4 million members. It was founded in 1888 on the basis of helping communities come together and raise money for various causes. The dues paying members meet at the lodge to discuss local happenings and events, with a society for men and one for women. It is a members-only society and hosts events such as local charity drives and national golf invitationals. Members get specials discounts on services throughout the nation such as car rentals and lodging. Dues can be paid online and parking is free on site.
The "Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America" is one of the oldest and largest fraternal organizations in the nation. Open since 1929, this lodge near the ocean houses a 3,800-square foot dining room, club room and recreational vehicle facilities with 42 equipped spaces. The organization hosts a variety of events and meetings for members and non-members, most of which are for charitable causes.
