Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center, located in Plainfield, N.J., is a more than 390-bed, university-affiliated, teaching medical center that provides health services to Union, Somerset and Middlesex counties in New Jersey. A member of the Solaris Health System, the medical center offers specialty care that includes an adult care program, anorectal physiology lab, regional dialysis unit, home care and hospice program, cardiac care unit, osteoporosis center, steps recovery center and subacute care unit. Emergency services are provided round-the-clock. The hospital also has an internal medicine residency program and schools of nursing, imaging and therapeutic sciences. Muhlenberg employs more than 2,000, nurses, technologists and service personnel and receives volunteer services of over 1,000 individuals.
