Baltimore Medical System, founded in 1984, serves more than 30,000 patients in the neediest communities within Baltimore City and Baltimore County. The facility serves communities with high rates of unemployment and poverty, low levels of education and job skills and few health services. BMS health services are provided through six full-service primary care health centers, one specialty and ancillary health center and five school-based health sites. It employs 40 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants and a total staff of 260 who provide care in internal medicine, family practice, pediatrics, adolescent medicine, geriatrics and mental health. Additional on-site services available through contracted providers include pharmacy, lab, podiatry, dentistry, eye services and a wide range of medical specialties. BMS offers a wide range of programs and services including discounts of up to 90 percent on fees for qualified patients. Baltimore Medical System is located in Baltimore.
