Holyoke Health Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Founded in 1970, the center provides a variety of medical and dental care services. It serves more than 15,000 people every year in Holyoke, Amherst, Springfield, the Berkshires and other towns and cities throughout Massachusetts. Its medical care programs include primary and preventive care for adults and children, nonemergency and same day medical care. The center also provides specialized programs for patients who have asthma, diabetes, HIV and AIDS, and other chronic illnesses. Its dental care services include cleaning, fluoride, sealants, extractions, fillings and root canal treatment. Additionally, the center conducts oral surgeries. Holyoke Health Center employs nearly 150 employees that include more than 30 full-time medical and dental providers, nurses, bilingual medical and dental assistants, case managers, outreach workers and financial counselors.
