Marie Pletsch M.D., Plastic Surgeon Marie E. Pletsch, M.D., received her M.D. degree from the University of Toronto in 1962. She completed an internship in 1963 at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, followed by a three-year residency in general surgery at Cook County Hospital, Chicago and St. Marys Hospital, San Francisco. She then completed a three-year residency in plastic surgery at St. Francis Hospital in San Francisco. This included a rotation through Letterman Army Hospital, Contra Costa County Hospital, San Quentin Prison Hospital, U.S. Public Health Hospital and Southern Pacific Hospital.
