Founded in 1987, the George R. Brown Convention Center is one of the largest convention centers in North America with nearly 1.2 million square feet of exhibition, meeting and registration space. It is connected to the 1,200-room Hilton Americas-Houston hotel with a doubledeck pedestrian sky bridge. The center features a full-service kitchen and a more than 240-seat cafe. The George R. Brown Convention Center also offers themed food stations and bars throughout the facility to meet the needs of clients. The center partners with various companies to offer production, booth cleaning and telecommunication services. It is managed by the City of Houstons Convention & Entertainment Facilities Department.

Space Center Houston is the visitors center of NASAs Johnson Space Center and is located in Houston. Its exhibits, attractions, presentations and hands-on activities tell the story of NASAs manned space flight program. Visitors can see astronauts train for missions, touch a real moon rock, land a shuttle and take a tour of the NASA facility. Its space center theater shows the history of space flight from the time rockets were developed, up to the present missions, and its blast off theater provides the experience of launching into space like an astronaut. Its tram tour includes visits to mission control center, space vehicle mockup facility and the Saturn V complex at Rocket Park. Its astronaut gallery exhibits spacesuits worn by the astronauts, its living in space module simulates what life is like for astronauts aboard a space station, and the starship gallery displays artifacts and hardware that trace the progress of manned space flight.
