Cheektowaga Police Department protects life and property, enforces all laws, prevents and detects crime and provides emergency response services within the town of Cheektowaga in N.Y. The department uses foot patrol, one- and two-officer cars, undercover cars, motorcycles and bicycles to patrol the town. Its patrol division is responsible for traffic and crowd control at all the major parades and events in the town, including little league parades, the War of 1812 parade, Fourth of July festivities at Town Park, Pulaski Day festivities and the Memorial Day and Labor Day parades. The department s administrative, personnel and support division is responsible for the logistics and oversees all information and communications systems that are required to keep a police department effective.
