The Butler Borough Police Department is a municipal police department that opened in 1939. It is located within Morris County and serves the Borough of Butler. The Borough's Municipal Court is attached to the police department.
Oradell Fire Department was formed in 1895 by four men and was officially founded two years later. The department had its first firehouse on Kinderkamack Road near Ridgewood Avenue to house the hand-drawn hose jumper and ladder cart. The department purchased its first motorized fire engines in 1916 and 1917.
In 1949, Oradell Fire Department moved to its new firehouse on the corner of Kinderkamack Road and Center Street, across the street from Borough Hall. The building was renovated in 2004 to create additional space for the growing department. The department has two engines, a ladder truck and a squad truck. For water-related emergencies, it uses a scuba truck and two marine boats.
The Kinnelon Municipal Building is located across the street from Kinnelon High School and next to Kinnelon Public Library. The Municipal Building is home to several borough departments, including:

Town meetings are also held in the building, on Kinnelon Road. The Borough of Kinnelon is approximately 19.5 square miles.
Red Bank Borough's four-story municipal complex, dedicated in 1997, houses the borough's police department, municipal court and council chambers as well as numerous borough departments, including planning and zoning, construction and code enforcement, parks and recreation, and tax assessor and collector.
The Butler Public Schools Board of Education is made up of 10 members, including a president, vice president and a Bloomingdale representative. Board members are also on several committees, including Finance & Physical Plant, Curriculum & Instruction, Communications and Outreach, Budget, Personnel and Management and Policy. The board meets on the fourth Monday of each month, at 7:30pm. Board meetings are held in the high school library.
The Newark Municipal Court is the largest municipal court in New Jersey. There are 12 full-time judges and more than 100 court employees working in this courthouse. Individuals can pay for parking and moving violations (room 105) and make inquiries regarding minor criminal matters (room 207).
The City of Newark Director's office is located in the Newark City Hall Building. This office is responsible for the maintenance and replacement of all street signs, street markings and light fixtures throughout the City of Newark. Residents can call the number listed to report damaged and vandalised fixtures or street signs.
The City of Newark Water & Sewer Utilities provides safe drinking water to Newark residents and provides safe conveyance of wastes to the proper treatment facilities. The accounting division located here consists of billing, customer service, plumbing services and 24-hour emergency service is also available.
The Kinnelon Historical Commission meets at L'ECOLE Kinnelon Museum at 25 Kiel Ave. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm. The commission accepts donations of photos and artifacts, which can be copied and returned to the original owners. The commission also accepts tax deductible donations. New members are welcome to the commission.
Kinnelon Volunteer Fire Company was first organized on Jan. 30, 1930. The first fire truck was purchased from the Bloomingdale Fire Company in 1938. The all-volunteer company recruits members 14 years old and up. There are about 50 members in the company.

Several other departments in the Borough are not located at these offices. Town meetings are also held in the building. The Borough of Butler became established in 1901.
One of thousands of facilities across the country created through an endowment by industrialist Andrew Carnegie, the Belleville Public Library's main branch boasts a lavish reading room and extensive areas for children, computer access and for special collections. Conducting about 39,000 transactions a year - slightly more than one per each Belleville resident - since 1982 the BPL has also been supported by the Friends of the Belleville Public Library.
The library hosts a variety of events and programs throughout the year, including concerts, wellness classes for seniors, career assistance, movie nights and game nights for teens, along with plenty of activities for the youngest readers.
The Office of the Chief of Violations handles bail receipts and the refunding of bail monies. Bail can only be refunded to the person who posted the bail.
University Hospital EMS is an afflilate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. It is one of the largest and most comprehensive pre hospital healthcare systems in the country. Services include advanced life support, basic life support, rescue, 9-1-1/fire communications, special operations and air medical to name a few. The staff consists of highly-trained and certified medical personnel.
