The Buford Community Center, Town Park & Theatre is a multi-venue public use facility. It boasts the Sylvia Beard Theatre, a ballroom, multi-purpose rooms, a nine acre park with an amphitheatre, interactive water fountain and picnic areas. The space is available for a variety of uses including weddings, meetings, receptions, performances, film screenings and more. The staff is equipped to assist in events and provide ticketing, AV equipment, concessions, ushers and catering.

The Buford Health Center, supported by the Gwinnett County Health Department, is a local clinic that offers a range of public health services. It provides immunizations, women, infants and children care (WIC), dental care, children's health exams, school screenings, family planning, DNA/lab testing, pregnancy and prenatal care, cancer screenings, STD testing, environmental health services and refugee health services. Patients are advised to arrive at least one hour before the facility closes.

The Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center offers miles of trails, a historical and cultural museum, a zip line course, and all kinds of educational programs and activities. It is a meeting place for many local groups and organizations, from school groups and summer camps to U.S. citizenship classes. It is a popular location for weddings, races, group activities and community events. The history and culture department features the Lawrenceville Female Seminary, McDaniels Farm, the Chesser-Williams House, Freeman's Mill and the Yellow River Post Office. The exhibits and activities emphasize history, culture and an appreciation of nature and the local environment. Many of the classes are centered around ecology and biology. The Center is also home to its own zip line course, where kids can participate in the Tree Cup Quest.

Bogan Park is an extensive community park covering 83 acres of land. It features playgrounds, two miles of trails, seven baseball/softball fields, a football field, an indoor aquatic center with competition and leisure/play pools, a double gym, outdoor basketball courts, indoor badminton courts, sand volleyball courts, a dance studio, a classroom, grills and a pavilion. The park is a fun and friendly destination for all ages, and offers a variety of activities, clubs, sports teams and events. The Friendship Farm Home Owners Association is the volunteer group charged with the administration and governance of the 123 home community. It is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of common areas. It enforces the restrictions set forth in the community's bylaws and covenants. Five annually elected Board members control the group, which is also responsible for monitoring the finances of the community.
