Public Works Department is one of the departments of the city of Alhambra in California, and provides community development services. The department performs various responsibilities, including upkeep of city landscaping, and removal of graffiti and hazardous materials from trees, shrubs and walls. It also builds and maintains the city s infrastructure, vehicle fleets and equipment. Additionally, it develops plans for the future transportation needs of the city. It is also responsible for a variety of administrative and managerial functions related to planning reviews, civil engineering, and surveying and inspection.
