The Kent Community Development Department is a resident's source for all things related to zoning or building permits, zoning variances, engineering, property maintenance, housing rehabilitation programs and all other things property- or planning-related.
The department is located in what was the city's first service garage near the southwestern corner of the city. It is located in the same complex that houses the city's service and engineering department office personnel along with the central maintenance crews.
