As he explains to the building's many tour groups - such as the local Boy Scouts - he compares himself to "the coach of a baseball team," overseeing the other town departments, many of which are also located within the Town Hall. According to its listing on the town website, the Board of Health is dedicated to keeping the Town of Northborough a healthy and environmentally safe place to live.  We strive to do this through the development and implementation of programs that seek to prevent the outbreak of infectious diseases and by controlling environmental health hazards.  Through the enforcement of State statutes and regulations regarding on-site sewerage treatment and disposal systems (Title V), restaurant sanitation and tobacco control we further endeavor to protect, preserve and improve the health of our citizens.

The Board of Health meets the second Tuesday of each month.
