The East Greenwich Finance & Assessment Department is responsible for collecting property taxes, assessments, traffic fines and other municipal fees. The finance department also creates the annual budget and administrates payments.
The Assessment Division assigns a dollar value to every property in town to determins the property's tax bill. The last revaluation took place in 2008 and the next one will take place in 2011.
