This building houses town departments and services including the First Selectman's office, the Assessor, the Finance and Treasury Department and the Social Services Department.

The First Selectman is the town's chief executive/administrative officer. 

The Assessor makes sure that every taxable property in town is assessed in accordance with the law so that all the town residents share the property tax burden.

The Finance and Treasury Department is in charge of all accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and other fiscal matters for the town. This department oversees the tax collector and assessor's offices.

The Social Services Department has many community based programs and services that residents in town can take advantage of.
