Administrated by Civic Arts Education, a division of Walnut Creek's Arts Recreation & Community Services Department, the Shadelands Arts Center is a community space located on North Wiget Lane. Available for rental, the space features an auditorium and meeting rooms, hosts a fine arts preschool program, regularly scheduled art exhibitions and art classes for students of all ages. The Bedford Gallery, located on the ground floor of the Lesher Regional Center for The Arts, offers a 3,500 square foot contemporary art space, making it a distinctive venue for receptions, business meetings, cocktail parties, or special events. - The Community Policing Team was formed in May 1997 to help improve quality of life issues that are important to people who live and work in the city. The team works with the public to develop long-term crime prevention strategies for residents and businesses. The team also assigns officers to serve as liaisons with local schools.
- The department is responsible for issuing permits for anyone who wishes to a massage establishment or work as a massage technician in the city. You can obtain applications online.
