Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (CCCSD) is a special district that collects and cleans an average of 45 million gallons of wastewater per day for about 440,000 residents and businesses in central Contra Costa County, Calif. CCCSD also operates a household hazardous waste collection facility, recycles high-quality water, and promotes pollution prevention through various educational, informational and inspection programs. CCCSD has experienced a tremendous amount of change since its formation in 1946. The sanitation district s office is located in Martinez, Calif.
