The Long Island East District covers 76 Methodist churches spread across the eastern portion of Long Island. Its congregations include those from Albertson and Bay Shore to Bridgehampton, as well as the Hauppauge United Methodist Church.
Superintendent Rev. Adrienne Brewington and District Administrative Secretary Barbara Atchison work together to plan events to bring the religious community together. The religious education office for St. Thomas More Catholic Church provides Bible and church tradition classes for children in 1st through 8th grade. Classes are held both on-site and in nearby private homes, as necessary to accommodate a child's needs. Students are prepared for the First Holy Communion and Confirmation ceremonies at this office, which also serves to coordinate the church's youth ministry.
