First Parish Unitarian Universalist, established as two sepearte church communities in 1717, has services on Sunday mornings. The church offers programs for children and adults, including small groups, religious education for children and volunteer opportunties.
St. Anne's Rectory is a Catholic Church that serves the community not only through its liturgy but also through its thrift shop. Proceeds from the thrift shop are used to buy food for families in need. As such, St. Anne's feeds 300 families in town, a total of almost 700 people. The shop takes donated goods and products, with the exception of electronics, computers, books and stuffed animals. If donating furniture or appliances, call first. St Paul's Parish is a Catholic church on North Street. It provides religious education for kids and teenagers and has a youth ministry where teens can grow together in faith. There are prayer meetings at 7:30 p.m. every first and third Tuesday. Rosary is at 8:30 a.m. weekdays.
Church of the Redeemer is an Episcopal church in Chestnut Hill. In additional to its weekly service, this church runs a number of programs for its young and adult parishioners. Children may attend Sunday school or participate in children's liturgies. There is also a chidren's choir. Church of the Redeemer encourages community involvement and interaction, hosting a number of events throughout the year to bring parishioners together. The church hosts spring and Christmas festivals. In conjunction with the American-Japanese Cultural Concert, this church also sponsors a classical music concert series. Facilities are available for various events.
Our Lady of Grace Seminary is located at St. Clement's Shrine. At the seminary, candidates for the order of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary begin formal preparation for religious vows and ordination for priesthood. Men ages 18 to 40 are welcome to apply.
The Onnuri Community Church is located on Pine St., near Walnut Hill Park. It serves the community members of Woburn and its surrounding towns. The church offers a variety of group activities to its members, such as a women's club, religious classes for kids, and a choir. In addition, it hosts events such as a the Praise Rally and a variety of seminars, such as Bible and Parenting. Membership to the church is a seven-week process.
