Northern Virginia Mennonite Church offers Sunday school for adults and children in addition to weekly worship services, small group studies in prayer, Bible study, fellowship and more. Sunday school starts at 9:30am. Sunday worship begins at 10:30am.
Covenant Christian Church was founded in the 1970s, at its current location on Indiana Avenue. Since then, its congregation has grown to include over 75 families from the community. Its services are presided over by Pastor Bob Banariello, who preaches a non-denominational interpretation of the Bible. The church building features several amenities, including a coffee house and basketball court for congregation members.
From babies to senior citizens, the Cedar Blvd. Neighborhood Church has been serving the Newark community for the last 30 years. It was formerly known as the Fremont Neighborhood Church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance and it moved to its current location 5 years ago. Senior Pastor Joel Mattson-Boze and his ministry staff support their members through prayer services, recovery programs, classes and more. In addition to Sunday worship services, Cedar Blvd. Neighborhood Church offers Vietnamese and Chinese language services. The church manages the King's Kids Preschool and the Stellar Academy for Dyslexics. The Cedar Blvd. Neighborhood Church is part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Staff members say people can find out more about the church at "The Gathering" dinner and classes on Wednesday nights.
River Heights Vineyard Church offers Christian worship services and activities for the community. Worship is held on Sundays at 9am, 10:30am and noon. Religious education is available for children of all ages. Jon and Sue Marsden are the lead pastors here.
