The Regional Office of the Christian Church Disciples of Christ for South Carolina can be found in the fellowship hall in the First Christian Church on Orange Grove Road. Sotello V. Long is the regional minister. Some of the tasks handled by the regional office include authorizing the standing of clergy and congregations in the region, enabling networks, calling on and developing leaders, caring for ministry and ministers with a yearly retreat, managing church resources, encouraging new ministries, teaching stewardship, advocating Christian unity and justice and more.

First Christian Church is located in a very unique brown brick building that sits off Orange Grove Road.  It is a member of the Disciples of Christ denomination, which believes in “no creed but Christ and no doctrines except those which are found in the New Testament.”  In addition to many seasonal activities (plays, youth activities, fairs and festivals), the church offers Sunday school and a Sunday morning worship service.  The worship service includes communion, nursery, children’s church and a youth program. First Christian Church is also home to Trinity Montessori School.
