Knowles Chiropractic & Wellness Centers mission is to provide the services and education that contribute to the wellness of the community. Knowles Chiropractic & Wellness Center is located on Route 102 in Bass Harbor, on Mount Desert Island, Maine. Visitors and seasonal residents are welcome, in addition to year-round residents (child and adult, ages 5 and up). Services include wellness assessment, nutritional counseling, chiropractic manipulation, and chiropractic acupuncture (needles, acupressure, laser, or electrical). Treatments may be long-term or short-term, depending on the reason for the visit, and the needs and wishes of the patient. Our emphasis is wellness: using assessment and counseling to improve and maintain health by creating conditions in which the body is able to heal itself, maintain wellness, and resist illness. The practitioner and patient work together to cultivate wellnessmuch as a gardener creates the conditions in which the garden will thrive.
