Beechmont Tavern is located on North Avenue at the bottom of Beechmont Drive. Founded in 1928, it is the oldest bar in New Rochelle. In addition to a well-stocked bar, Beechmont Tavern has a large seating area where customers can chow down on burgers and wings among a host of other tasty dishes. Formerly Wing Zone, Wings to Go, located in the Southside Plaza Shopping Center, is a franchise that offers wraps, wings, chicken fingers and fries. Prices are reasonable -- six wings and fries go for $4.99 -- and there are 25 flavors of wings, the most intense of which are called "nuclear." The wings, says one employee, "will make you come back."
Take-out and delivery are available; a $15 minimum is required for delivery.
