1860 Light Station is a museum on Johnson Street in Port Washington, located atop St. Mary's Hill. The station has been restored into a museum that depicts the life and times of a light keep family in the 19th century. The museum features numerous exhibits and items, including historical artifacts, photos and much more. The organization offers numerous volunteer opportunities, as well as a gift shop offering various types of items, such as chains, postcards, mugs and more. The museum is open year-round for group tours by appointment.
