Founded in 1976, the King County Sexual Assault Resource Center provides prevention programming, counseling, parent/guardian education, legal advocacy, and a 24-hour Resource Line. Services are confidential and provided free of cost to assault victims, survivors, or those who support assault victims or survivors. Awareness and fundraising events are held throughout the year. Fraternal Order of Eagles 1722 was established in 1907 and is located in old downtown Renton. The Eagles are an an international, nonprofit organization dedicated to fraternity, enriching the human existence and promoting peace, prosperity and hope. This organization hosts numerous events from Thanksgiving dinner to breast cancer to awareness and veteran's support to filling the Renton Food Bank.
Providing a much needed service to the Renton community, Vision House offers housing and care for single homeless mothers and their children, as well as housing for single homeless men. This facility helps keep children safe and protected while allowing parents to seek the assistance necessary for restoring stability. Vision House is a community organization which serves as a stepping stone for families.
WACAP, or World Association for Children and Parents, is an adoption and humanitarian aid agency. Since 1976 it has placed more than 10,000 children with adoptive parents, and provided food, medical care and education to more than 200,000 children worldwide. WACAP is located on S. 2nd St., across from Renton High School and the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center.
Birthday Dreams is a non-profit organization providing birthday parties for homeless and foster care children living in group homes in Renton and the surrounding communities. It accepts donations and welcomes volunteers who are interested in baking cakes, delivering birthday boxes and handling other tasks.
Renton Area Youth & Family Services, or RAYS, opened its doors to the Renton Community in 1970. RAYS works with other community organizations to offer support to families dealing with poverty, substance abuse and emotional conflict. Numerous resources are offered through RAYS to address the concerns of struggling families and individuals, including child and family counseling, mental health services, youth substance abuse treatment services, and family support and prevention services. RAYS offers internship opportunities for masters and undergraduate students who are enrolled in an accredited university program.

The Renton Community Foundation is a 501 c3, not-for-profit organization that manages a group of charitable funds established by individual donors and local non-profit organizations, making grants back to the community to benefit a broad array of causes, such as healthcare, the arts, education, youth and families, emergency services, education, and senior emergency pet care. Today, RCF manages almost $6 million and serves the greater Renton area and beyond with over 40 individual funds. RCF's goal is not to champion one cause over another, but rather to benefit the entire community and to connect donors to the causes they care about most, while partnering with local charitable organizations to increase efficiencies and strengthen their ability to deliver critical services.
