MOMMAS House is a not-for-profit organization that works with Birthright International to serve as a home for young mothers (aged 17-21) and their children. For about two years, mothers who utilize MOMMAS House, which has locations throughout Nassau County, can continue education or vocational services that were interrupted by pregnancy. The Wantagh MOMMAS House opened in 1986 and is located inside the Wantagh Shopping Plaza. The goal of MOMMAS House is to provide guidance and support to young mothers so that they can learn to independently support themselves and their children.

Meetings for members are held every Monday night starting at 7:30 p.m. The organization  makes its catering hall available for parties and events throughout the year. The Knights of Columbus formed in 1882, and is the largest Catholic-based fraternal service organization in the United States.

The United Cerebral Palsy Association (UCPN) Day Habilitation at Wantagh consists of 28 eight developmentally disabled adults and seven staff members who go in to the community daily to volunteer and assist at ten different non-profit organizations.The UCPN Day Habilitation at Wantagh opened on December 15, 1999 and is part of the UCPN of Nassau County.

Wantagh American Legion Post No. 1273 is located on Park Avenue adjacent to the Wantagh Fire District headquarters. The American Legion is the largest service organization in the United States for veterans and has been in existence since the end of World War I. The Wantagh American Legion Hall features a Wall of Honor for fallen local veterans and is available for rental.
