Bert Ewers founded Inland Empire Distribution Systems (IEDS) in December 1983. The company offers third-party logistics services throughout the Northwest. IEDS has more than 1 million square feet of combined operating space at its locations in Spokane and Pasco, Wash. The company specializes in four major product market sectors, including consumer, industrial, chemical and forest. IEDS provides warehousing and distribution services. Its Spokane facility has a full-service transportation operation, truckload and less-than-truckload capabilities, including fleet services and freight management for up to 15 IEDS and contractor trucks. Inland Empire Distribution Systems was approved as a United States Customs bonded container freight station in 2003.
