Established in 1893, Keewaydin is one of the oldest summer camps in North America. The organization offers opportunities for youths and children to develop character, leadership and self-confidence. It organizes various adventure, fun and challenging activities. Keewaydin provides opportunities for boys and girls to experience wilderness canoe trips. The organization s camps include the Keewaydin Dunmore for boys and the Songadeewin of Keewaydin for girls. Its camps offer a variety of activities, including canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing and backpacking trips. The organization also conducts water and land sports activities. Additionally, it offers drama and arts and crafts programs to camp members.

Coleman Country Day Camp is a Western-style ranch in Long Island, N.Y., created exclusively for boys and girls, ages 3 15. It features trail and water rides, coaching games, climbing walls, paddling canoes, archery, ecology and frog hunting, animal care and nature, ropes, tree house, horseback riding, rocketry, and zip-line. The camp features a two-foot deep natural lagoon, and offers boating lessons of all kinds, including bumper boats, fishing, swimming, and water ballet, carnival, slides and volleyball. Coleman Country Day Camp also offers various types of art training, including cartooning, ceramics, computers, dance, dramatics, fine arts, jewelry design, music, photography, sculpture, set design, video, and wood working. It makes children practice a wide variety of sports, such as baseball, basketball, football, miniature golf, roller hockey, softball, tennis, track and field, parachute games and whiffleball.

Project U.S.E. is a private, nonprofit educational corporation that provides a wide range of adventure education services to more than 200 public and private schools, colleges, youth programs, community organizations and corporations. Project U.S.E. creates model programs that address, through the power of experiential education, social, recreational, educational, economic and environmental issues. Many of its courses are conducted at its Wildcat Mountain Wilderness Center located in Hewitt, N.J., in Passaic County. The center is in a primitive area and is used for a variety of courses, ranging from one-day team building events to seven-day backcountry expeditions. Project U.S.E. also conducts programs at Genesis Farm, a community-supported organic garden in Blairstown, N.J., in Warren County. The programs are custom designed and may include low ropes course events, cooperative learning games, organic gardening, wild edible plants, flora and fauna identification, Native American celebrations and creative expression activities.

The mission of Colorado Heritage Camps, Inc is to provide educational, cultural, and family related experiences, which support the healthy development of families formed by adoption with children from diverse heritages. Through shared experiences, each Heritage Camp provides children and families with a sense of community and individual identity. Founded in 1999, Songadeewin of Keewaydin is a camp for girls between the ages of 8 and 15. It organizes various water sports activities, including canoeing, kayaking, sailing, row boating, swimming and scuba diving.
