Cafe Fresh Bagels is a very popular place in the mornings. New York- style bagels are its specialty - try one with a schmear of custom-blended cream cheese. It also serves breakfast bagels with eggs (or egg whites) and a choice of cheese, bacon or sausage. Coffee and standard beverages are available.
The spot is popular for lunch, too. Try one of the bagel sandwiches, salad and/or soup.
At Honey Dew Donuts diners can enjoy fresh brewed coffee and donuts. They also offer sandwiches and recently added maple coffee sticks. This location has plenty of seating and a free parking lot.
Big Fresh is easy to miss, hidden in a shopping plaza dominated by Papa Gino's and across the street from Bugaboo Creek. But it stands out among the Route 30 and Route 9 fast food options because of its selection of fresh ingredients, vegetarian and organic options, and its varied menu. At Big Fresh, you'll find falafel, salads, wraps, fish and stir-fry, not to mention seaweed salad and vegan chocolate cake.
This Starbucks store is located in the Whole Foods shopping plaza. Plenty of seating is available at two-person tables and in comfy armchairs; there are also a few tables outside on a tree-shaded patio. The menu features coffee, tea, espresso drinks, frozen blended beverages, and a variety of baked goods and prepared sandwiches.
Frescafe is open daily, serving breakfast and lunch. The menu includes omelets, waffles and grilled sandwiches.
The Shoppers World outpost of Starbucks Coffee is conveniently connected to the Barnes and Noble bookstore. Grab your venti latte double skinny extra-hot no foam (or perhaps a less complicated coffee beverage), and browse the latest new releases next door. This Starbucks location has several windowside tables for your relaxing and people-watching pleasure.
Nobscot's Cafe is divided into two separate areas -- a sports bar/live entertainment room on the left and a more formal dining room up five steps and to the right of the main entrance. Nobscot's Cafe has been a local dining destination for nearly 20 years.
The includes Burger Nite on Mondays, Fish Nite on Tuesdays and Chicken Nite on Wednesdays. There are weekend specials for lobster, as well as whole fried oysters and other seafood, and steak and chicken dishes.
Decorated with Patriots, Bruins, Red Sox, Celtics and golf legends memorabilia and images, the bar side features four high-definition televisions that give patrons a 360-degree view of all the action.
On Friday evenings, also on the bar side, Nobscot's Cafe has live entertainment, with either a live band or DJ. Some entertainers, such as regional blues guitarist Lydia Warren, got their start at Nobscot's Cafe. It also has Keno and beer specials.
