The Starbucks located on the north side Main Street is just across from the station, making it a convenient caffeine stop for train commuters in the morning. Its wrap-around L-shape comfortably fits nine tables inside, but there are also five more tables and a bench just outside so customers can enjoy nice days. Now with free Wi-Fi internet access and plenty of newspapers, it invites customers to stay a while!
This downtown Caribou Coffee has been operating on Main Street since 2005. Serving a wide variety of hot and iced coffees, teas, espresso and lattes, Caribou also sells food items such as pastries, muffins and breads. Free Wi-Fi and extended hours, along with an array of tables and a cozy fireplace area , make this a popular gathering place for students, commuters and local patrons.
Egg Harbor Cafe offers breakfast and brunch meals in a casual atmosphere. Specialties include organic potatoes, homemade cinnamon rolls and a healthy breakfast burrito. A kid's menu and fresh-squeezed juices are also available.
Thai Cafe is the sixth restaurant opened by the Amprachna family. Owner Tiffany Amprachna, a native of Bangkok, uses family recipes for the cafe's authentic dishes, which include the popular Crab Rangoon, Pad Thai, spicy basil chicken and Thai tea, which Kunze says is "the most delicious thing I've ever tasted."
Amprachna also is willing to work with customers who may prefer a less spicy version of a dish.
For the time being, the restaurant will primarily offer carry-out, delivery and catering, although there is a counter for customers who wish to eat in.
A Downer's Grove outpost of the national coffee giant, this Starbucks location serves coffee, tea and specialty drinks in a casual yet trendy cafe atmosphere. A variety of complementary products, including baked goods, music and packaged coffee is also available for purchase.
