Allied Building Products Corporation was established in Jersey City, N.J., in 1950 as a family operated roofing and custom sheet metal fabrication business. It originally serviced the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area. It has grown from a five-man business to one of the leading workforces in the industry. Allied has operations in more than 130 locations, including a facility in Astoria, N.Y., with more than 1 million square feet of combined warehouse and office space. Its workforce consists of more than 3,000 employees, ranging from sales professionals and dispatch personnel to equipment operators and architectural managers. Allied maintains a fleet of more than 850 cars, trucks and trailers. The company serves the needs of customers at many levels of the building industry, from commercial and industrial to the home remodeling. A subsidiary of CRH America, Allied Building Products Corporation maintains headquarters in East Rutherford, N.J.
