Anchor Glass Container Corporation is engaged in the principal business activity of manufacturing and selling glass containers in the United States. Anchor has eight facilities, where it produces a line of flint (clear), amber, green and other colored-glass containers for beer, beverage, food, liquor and flavored alcoholic beverage markets. Substantially all of the Companys glass containers are made to customer specifications. For new products or modifications to existing products, Anchor works closely with its customers in developing and testing these products prior to the initiation of shipments to customers for their use in production. Anchor s customers include Anheuser-Busch and Jim Beam. During the year ended December 31, 2004, Anchors largest customer, Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc., accounted for 48.1 percent of its net sales.
