Johnson C. Smith University, located in Charlotte, N.C., offers a range of educational and extracurricular programs to students. The university is made up of various colleges that operate a number of departments. The College of Arts and Science consists of departments of communication, arts, music and fine arts, English and foreign languages, natural sciences and mathematics, psychology and social sciences. The College of Professional Studies operates the departments of business administration and economics, computer science and engineering, education, social work, and health and human performance. The Honors College offers liberal studies and military programs. The college also offers a number of sports activities, including basketball, bowling, cross country, football, golf, softball, tennis, volleyball, and track and field.
