We invest deeply in employee training and development and we employ modern equipment in the care and handling of your boat. Our crew members love what they do and are enthusiastic about getting the finest results. We do very little subcontracting which allows us to manage work schedules and work quality more effectively. Your safety and boating comfort is our foremost interest. Therefore we work only to the exacting standards of ABYC and NMEA. To stay current in technology, safety, materials, process and design developments, we are members of ABYC, ABBRA, NMEA and MMTA.

Established in 1944, the Madaket boat yard began as a family owned boat repair shop. Boats were brought into the shops by using the high tides, and were placed up onto railroad ties while repairs were made. In 1966, Hither Creek Boat Yard was formed by a small group of Madaket residents, and in the 1980s, Madaket Marine was formed as a division of Hither Creek Boat Yard, Inc. More than forty years later, Madaket Marine continues their commitment to taking care of our customers and protecting the local environment. About Niemiec Marine Niemiec Marine is a full service boatyard unlike most others. Here at Niemiec Marine, we treat our customers with appreciation and consideration. We handle our customers boats as if they were our own. Our experienced staff of long term employees all believes in our company motto "good enough never is". We take pride in every job that we do, large or small, and we expect our customers to see the result. We believe that the little things matter the most. For example, our employees work cleanly and neatly. We leave our customers boats neater than when we arrived. A dirty bilge or deck may not matter to some customers, but it matters to us. The Niemiec method of working is organized and structured. We concentrate on efficiency. As an example, the Niemiec Marine stockroom contains over 100, 000 stocked inventory items to allow the job to flow without delays while waiting for parts. We stock over $300, 000 in hard to find marine items in order to save our customers time and money. In addition, we have staff that is factory trained in both service and parts. We have two full time dedicated engine parts employees who coordinate with our service technicians to streamline the process of identifying and acquiring the correct engine components for our customers. This saves our customer time and money. Most other boatyards allow service technicians to process parts requests themselves. In essence, this time is paid for by the customer. At Niemiec Marine, we take on the extra expense so our customers dont have to. Niemiec Marine is a certified dealer and has factory trained service technicians for Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, Onan, Crusader, Westerbeke, Universal, Phasor, Volkswagen Marine, ZF Mathers and many others. We also have several on-road service trucks to support our customers during the crucial summer boating months. All of these things provide our customers with the resources and ability to make their boating experiences enjoyable and worry free while controlling their costs for this service. Like most other boatyards, we have an on-site hauling capability. Our hauling capability allows us to haul boats up to 70 in length and 90, 000 lbs. in weight. During storms or hurricane watches, we work around the clock to ensure that all of our loyal customers vessels are safe for any approaching storm. In short, Niemiec Marine has over 30 years experience pleasing our customers. We have invested our profits in inventory, hiring and training our skilled employees, buying new equipment to make things more efficient and keeping our facility organized.
